Alex MILLAR
Date of Death: Wednesday 5th February 2025
Millar (Alex), The family of the late Alex, wish to thank most sincerely all who sympathised with us during our recent bereavement. We would like to give special thanks to our family circle and close friends for their love, kindness and support shown during this difficult time.
A heartfelt thanks to those who helped during the wake, funeral and to all who called at our home, sent cards, messages of condolences and for the gifts and food sent to our home.
We would also like to say a massive thank you to the team of carers who took such great care of Alex in his home during the past few years and to the staff from Ashbrook Care Home in Clonoe who cared for Alex during his last few months. To the acute care team who worked so empathetically and thoroughly with Alex to ensure he had the best treatment every step of the way. And to Donaghy’s pharmacy who would go above and beyond with all of Alex’s medical needs. The care, compassion, patience and support received was outstanding.
Thank you to Fr Heagney and to the other clergy who attended to Alex’s spiritual needs. As a man of great faith this brought a great comfort to him. Thank you to Fr Heagney, the sacristan and the Eucharistic ministers for the kind words, touching funeral mass and burial.
Thank you to the talented musicians, Donna Taggart and Rory Madden. The music was a great reflection of Alex’s life, and it really added to Alex’s funeral mass. Thank you to Eglish parochial hall for help with the catering equipment and chairs.
Gratitude and thanks to Vincent and Marian Daly at the Ryandale for Alex’s beautiful meal after the funeral.
Finally, to PJ and Patrick Quinn funeral directors, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts, you took care of everything so professionally and made everything that little bit easier.
It is impossible to thank everyone individually, we trust that this acknowledgment will be accepted as a token of our deep appreciation and thanks.
Alex’s months mind mass will be celebrated on Wednesday 5th March at 7:30pm in St Patrick’s Church, Eglish.
