Anne McELROY (née Lenagh)

Acknowledgement Anne McElroy, Bangor, Co. Down. died 3rd April 2025.
Eamon Niall & Holly and all the family of the late Anne McElroy would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to everyone who prayed for, offered their support and sympathy during our recent bereavement.

We extend a special thanks to our family, friends, and neighbours who visited our home, sent Mass and sympathy cards, and attended the Funeral Mass. Your kindness and presence brought us great comfort.
We are also deeply grateful to those who readied the house for the wake and provided and served coutless cups of tea & coffee and refreshments at the wake. A special thanks to our brilliant neighbours.

Our sincere appreciation goes to the Doctors, Nurses & staff who cared for Anne on the day of her passing. We would also like to thanks those doctors and nurses who care for Anne especially during the last three years.

A very special thanks goes to the girls from Helen Kane Nursing for the care, support, friendship and love they showed to Anne and us as a family for the last three years, thanks also to the staff of Mcare and Pennisular Care.

We would also sincerely thank Canon Daniel Whyte for the beautiful and meaningful Funeral Mass and Canon Joseph Gunn for carrying out the committal and for their spiritual support.

We are also sincerely grateful to Christine McClean and team for the beautiful & moving music. We would also like to thank all who took part in the Mass, the readers, those who read the prayers of the faithful, those who brought up the offertory gifts and those who brought up Anne's symbols not forgetting the Eucharistic ministers.

A special word of thanks to everybody at John Gray & Co. Funeral Directors for their professionalism, care and sensitivity in handling the funeral arrangements. Also many thanks to those who give wreaths and/or donated to Assisi NI.

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, we hope this acknowledgment will be accepted as a token of our deep and heartfelt appreciation.

Anne is loved and missed every day and her memory forever treasured. We pray that her gentle soul finds peace and eternal rest.

Anne's Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated at St. Comgalls Catholic Church, 27 Brunswick Road, Bangor, on Saturday 3rd May at 6:30pm.
