The family of Ava Haughey would like to convey their deepest gratitude for the love, care and sympathy shown by all during our recent tragic loss.
Thank you all for the prayers, cards, letters, food, refreshments, flowers, visits and for all those who have helped in any way. The outpouring of grief and love from so many has given us comfort that Ava was so loved and will be missed by so many.
Thank you to all the maternity team in Craigavon Area hospital for delivering our precious girl to us safely and to the community midwives for their care since.
Special thanks to all the team in the Neonatal Unit in Craigavon Area hospital, they helped guide us through the most unimaginable and horrific situation with grace and compassion. Thank you also to the hospital chaplain Fr. Idoghor for his support.
Thank you to our dear friends and both of our families for being with us and Ava, especially in her final hours and in the days that followed. We are blessed to have you all and could not manage without you.
Thank you very much to Paudge Quinn for his calming and caring professionalism in getting Ava home to us and in everything surrounding her wake and funeral. Thanks also to Kerrie and all the staff in Quinn’s corner for the refreshments following the funeral.
Thank you to all who assisted in preparing for and worked so diligently on the day of Ava’s wake, we appreciate the huge effort from all involved and are so thankful to the many people who came to offer their condolences.
Thank you to all who donated to Craigavon Area hospitals Neonatal unit, they do fantastic work and we hope the kind donations can assist with their ongoing excellent care.
Thank you to all who assisted in ensuring the safety of all who visited our family home in the time around Ava’s wake and to the local school and Church for the use of their parking facilities.
Thank you to Sinead for her beautiful music on the day of the funeral, to JJ Gill Print for Ava’s beautiful mass booklets and to Fr Forbes and Fr Hannigan for their presence and prayers at the funeral. Thank you also to the grave digger for preparing Ava’s final place of rest.
A special thank you to Fr Michael O’Dwyer for his beautiful funeral mass for Ava and for all of his love and support while Ava was in hospital and in the days that have followed.
Finally, the most special thanks to our wonderful son James, the brightest of lights to help guide us out of these darkest of days.
It is impossible to thank everyone but please know that every message, card, visit, letter and thoughtful act is hugely appreciated by us both and all the family.
Ava’s months mind mass will be held on Thursday 30th January in the Church of the Assumption, Tullyallen at 7.30pm.
