Dearly loved husband of Heather, devoted father of Dawn, cherished father-in-law of David, much loved grandfather of Blair (wife Colleen) and Sam.

House private please.

A Service of Thanksgiving for his life will be held in Ballynure Presbyterian Church on Friday 7th March at 12.30 p.m., followed by a private cremation.

Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu, if desired, to RUC George Cross Widows Association and Northern Ireland Chest, Heart & Stroke online via flemingandcuthbert.co.uk or by telephone (028 93344242 Mon – Fri 9.00am – 5.00pm).

Deeply regretted and sadly missed by the entire family circle.

So sad to learn of the death of Blair Wallace and we offer our deepest sympathy to Heather and the family circle.

He was an officer, a gentleman and a true leader who should on ability alone, have been the Chief Constable of the Royal Ulster Constabulary.

It was a privilege and a pleasure to have served with him and to have benefitted from his wise counsel over the years.

May he rest in peace.
