A letter of acknowledgement and appreciation from the family of the late Brian Bateson

We the family of the late Brian Bateson, his wife Sheila, sons, Bernard, Gerard, and Kevin, daughters, Mairead and Mabel, and wider Bateson family circle wish to express our heartfelt thanks for the overwhelming support and kindness shown to us throughout our recent sad loss. We would like to thank our extended family, friends and neighbours for all their help and support during the wake. Thank you to everyone who came to the wake, attended the funeral, sent Mass cards, sympathy cards, posted online tributes and to those who travelled long distances to offer support and comfort.

Special thanks to Bishop Donal McKeown, Canon John Forsythe and Fr Michael Murphy for the beautiful Mass and support throughout the wake and funeral. Thanks again to Bishop Donal McKeown and Fr Con Boyle for their continued spiritual guidance over the last 27 years.

Thank you to the Gribbin Girls for their beautiful music and singing which made Brian’s funeral Mass so meaningful for us.
A special thanks to Brian’s beloved Kickham’s Creggan for their support and help during the wake and along with the staff and pupils of Loreto College, Coleraine for providing a guard of honour.

Thanks also to Grainne and her staff at St MacNissi’s Parish Centre for providing the lovely refreshments following the funeral.
Sincere thanks to Paddy and Dessie from Marrion’s Funeral Directors for their dignified professionalism, compassion and guidance that they offered our family at this difficult time.

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our sincere appreciation. A Mass of thanksgiving will be offered for your intentions.

Brian’s Month’s Mind Mass will be held on Friday 14th February at 7 pm in St MacNissis, Randalstown.

Creggan, Moy, New Jersey and Dunloy.
