We, the family of the late Charlie Gallagher RIP, wish to express our sincere gratitude and appreciation to everyone who sympathised and supported us during our recent bereavement.
Our thanks to all those who attended the wake, the funeral, those who brought and sent mass cards, sympathy cards and those who sent messages.
Thank you to family, neighbours and friends who brought food and helped with the refreshments and those who sent flowers. Your presence was a heartfelt tribute and a great comfort to us during this difficult time.
Our sincere thanks to Fr Cathal Deery P.P. who visited Charlie during his illness and for his prayers and blessings. Your spiritual support brought great comfort and strength during a difficult time, and we deeply appreciate your kindness and devotion to Dad and all the family. A special thank you to Sharon and Mary for the beautiful music.
We thank the Medical and Nursing staff on Ward’s 1 and 7 of the South West Acute Hospital who cared for Dad with kindness and compassion. Thanks also to the hospital and community palliative care team, Monica and all the district nursing team, The Marie Curie nurses, Dr Treacy and his team at Cuilcagh Medical Practice, Derrygonnelly and to Geoffrey Cathcart and staff at Derrygonnelly Pharmacy.
We are grateful for the use and facilities of the Boho Community Hall, and all the staff of the Saddlers restaurant for the lovely refreshments served after the funeral and to the Events team at the Killyhevlin hotel, Enniskillen.
Our heartfelt gratitude to Leeanne at Damian McGovern & Sons Funeral Director, for her compassionate and professional support, guidance and assistance in carrying out the funeral arrangements; for the dignified way in which Charlie was laid to his final resting place.
As it is impossible to thank everyone, we trust that this acknowledgement will be accepted by all as a token of our sincere appreciation.
The Holy sacrifice of the mass will be offered for your intentions.
Charlie’s Month’s Memory Mass will be celebrated on Sunday 27th April 2025 at 11:30am in St. Patrick’s Church, Derrygonnelly.
