Brendan’s untimely death has taken from us a lovely man with a great heart for doing good.
He made an immense contribution to mediation and peace-building in Northern Ireland and further afield.
My personal contact with Brendan goes back to when he was a student at Queen’s University during the 1970s.
He worked with me and others to set up and operate the student counselling service at Queen’s, Niteline, which stood alongside many lonely students during some very dark times.
A wonderful man, gone too soon.
May he rest in peace after a life well lived.
My deepest sympathy to the family.
