Dear Kathleen and all the family,
We were very sorry to hear that Ken passed away on Monday. I think he was my tallest cousin and I always enjoyed time spent with him over the years both in Monaghan and in Bangor / Donaghadee. Learning about his life in the Navy was always especially interesting as a child growing up.
I even met Ken by chance in Larne Rugby Club one night when I was playing in a band and he had been there with the D'dee Rugby Club in the afternoon. He was always kind and friendly, and strange as it may seem, that was in March 1977 just after my own Dad died. I remember that night so clearly.
This is how I will remember Ken, knowing that he is now at peace and no longer coping with poor health. I wish you the strength to get through the days ahead and the funeral on Thursday. Please accept our sincere condolences in your time of bereavement and our thoughts and prayers are with you.
With all our Love, John, Lisa and Sean Martin
