Glackin - Dessie (Man)
The family would like to express their sincere appreciation and thanks to neighbours, friends and relatives and all who provided mass and sympathy cards, attended the requiem mass and burial of their beloved friend and brother.
A special word of thanks to the Oaks practice, doctors and nurses, dedicated staff who attended Dessie almost daily over the last number of years and of course all of the the staff at the Antrim Area Hospital for their unceasing care in looking after Dessie.
We would just like to mention Dolores and Sarah who done so much and continue to support the family at this difficult time. Also Dessie's friends who he met regularly to discuss the state of the country but also were available to take him on his regular visits to the hospital, he appreciated their deep friendship and was always proud to be associated with them.
So much thanks goes to Fr Boyle and deacon Eamon Quinn and all the priests.........for their wonderful pastoral care bringing Holy Communion and blessing to his home, we acknowledge that their visits and being able to watch daily mass on the webcam gave Dessie great peace and encouragement and was a powerful factor in him staying positive and happy in his life
We thank Fr Boyle also for the wonderful service and our amazing singers Aoine and Michael Glackin who played and sang so beautifully at the mass.
A great word of thanks goes to our undertaker Kevin Quinn and family of KM Quinn Funeral Directors who carried out the wake, procession, mass and burial service so seamlessly which added so much dignity and heartfelt appreciation to all.
Thanks also goes to the management and staff of the Greenvale in providing excellent refreshments, food and hospitality
