The death has occurred of:
Edward (Ned) McDERMOTT
We, the family of the late Ned McDermott, wish to express our sincere gratitude for all the prayers and support we received on our recent bereavement.
We wish to express our heartfelt thanks to all our extended family, neighbours, friends and to all those who travelled from near and far to pay their last respects. Thank you to all those who attended the wake and funeral, made donations to Marie Curie, sent messages of support and sent mass and sympathy cards. The stories and many memories of daddy that were shared, have added to the happy memories that we will now cherish forever.
A special word of thanks to Fr Noel McDermott PP, for the gentle spiritual guidance he provided during this difficult time and for the beautiful requiem mass he officiated.
A word of thanks to Msgr McCanny and all the priests of Limavady and Killenagh parishes. Thanks also to the church sacristans and those who prepared the grave. Many thanks to the musicians for the beautiful music.
Our deepest gratitude is extended to all the healthcare professionals who cared for daddy over the past number of years. The kindness, compassion and dignity shown to him is acknowledged and appreciated.
Thank you to Limavady Wolfhounds for their help during the wake and funeral. Thanks also to Clan na Gael for their help during the burial in Killenagh, Dunamanagh and for the use of the Clubhouse afterwards. A special word of thanks to all the Gaels of Limavady, Dunamangh and the extended GAA community for the great tributes paid to daddy and for the lovely send-off that he was given.
Sincere thanks to WJ O’Brien Funeral Directors, Eglinton, for the compassionate, professional and respectful manner in which the funeral arrangements were made and carried out.
As it is impossible to thank everyone individually, we hope this acknowledgement will be accepted by all as a token of our sincere appreciation for your help, kindness and support. A mass will be offered up for all your intentions.
Ned's Months mind Mass will be celebrated in St Mary’s Church, Limavady on Sunday 9th February @ 10.30am.
