We, the family of the late Eileen McPolin wish to express our heartfelt thanks to all those who sympathised with us in our recent bereavement.
We appreciate those who attended the wake, who came to offer hugs, words of comfort and shake our hands. Also, to those who made phone calls, sympathy cards, touching letters, messages and flowers. Thanks to all our friends, neighbours and family members who helped during the wake by bringing food, giving their time to serve tea and make all those who came feel so welcome in our home.
Our gratitude to Rev Jim Crudden for his attention and devotion throughout Mum's illness and especially for his fitting homily and celebration of the funeral mass. Thank you also to Canon Flack , for his attendance at our home.
We thank Kayleigh , Jordan and Anna for their beautiful music and to all who participated in Mum's requiem mass, making it so memorable. A special thanks to Padraig Rooney for his lovely pipe tribute to Mum, to and from the chapel.
Our sincere appreciation to Eugene , Dympna and Paul of Peter Doran Funeral directors for the professional and sensitive manner in which they looked after our family in the days leading up to and including Mum's funeral.
Our heartfelt gratitude to Dr Greer and the district nursing team of Clough and Dundrum Surgery and all who supported us in enabling Mum to remain so comfortably at home, surrounded by the love of her family and friends.
Please accept this as a token of our profound appreciation, hoping no-one has been left out. A mass will be offered for all your intentions. Mum's month mind mass will be celebrated on Saturday 2nd November 2024 at 6pm in Our Lady of the Assumption Church, Newcastle.
