McARDLE Gerard R.I.P. (58 Flagstaff Road, Newry). April 11, 2020 peacefully at home after a long illness. Beloved husband of Bernadette, loving father of Kevin and Brian, devoted grandfather of Naomi and Eabha and dear brother of Helene, Bridie and Ann.

Our Lady Queen of the Most Holy Rosary pray for him.

Due to the ongoing health crisis, Gerard's Wake and Funeral will be strictly private.

Gerard will be deeply missed by his loving wife, sons, grandchildren, sisters and all the family circle.

Gerry was such a caring and loving man.
I have fond memories of sailing on the Shannon and Lakes of Kildare with Gerry, Bernie, Kevin and Brian when I visited in 1997. He was so kind and hospitable.
He will surely be missed and I’m sure has left a spirit in his family that will live on.
