The death has occurred of:
Gwendoline SIMPSON
The family of the late Gwendoline Olive Simpson wish to express their sincere appreciation to all who sympathised with them at the time of their mother’s death.
We gratefully acknowledge the kind family, friends and neighbours who sent cards and letters, telephoned, brought gifts, made meals, gave donations to Foyle Hospice, attended the funeral or helped in any way. Your kindness and support at this difficult time is very much appreciated.
We extend special thanks to the staff at Foyle Hospice for the outstanding treatment, care and compassion shown to our mum, and extend an invite to anyone wishing to join in our future fundraising endeavours for the hospice. We also thank the excellent team of doctors and nurses at Altnagelvin Hospital and Bovally Medical Centre as well as the exceptional carers at Connected Health Limavady.
We sincerely thank the Rev. Philip Houston for conducting the service at the church and graveside and for the frequent visits and comforting words to our Mum in hospital and hospice. We extend our thanks to the elders and congregation of Ballykelly Presbyterian Church and Gortnessy Presbyterian Church for their support.
Amanda would especially like to thank her colleagues at the Government Legal Department (England) for their unwavering help and support whilst she cared for her mum in Northern Ireland.
The family would also like to express appreciation to D & R Hay Funeral Directors for the professional and sympathetic manner in which they conducted the funeral.
As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, we trust this will be accepted as acknowledgement of our gratitude and appreciation.
