Ida TUBMAN

Colin, Tina, Charlene and Kathy and the Families of Ida Tubman would like to sincerely thank all those who sympathised with them on the loss of their much loved Wife, Mummy, Mother-in-Law and Nannie.

To those friends and family who offered support in any way during the last weeks of Ida’s life, we are eternally grateful, with a special mention to Patricia, Lorna, Carol and Valerie who supported the family during Ida’s last weeks so much.

To everyone who helped prepare the family home for Ida’s wake, served tea at the wake, brought food, called at the family home, sent messages and cards of condolence - helped in any small way during this sad time, we are forever grateful and hope that each of you realise the comfort your small act may have brought to us as a family.
Unfortunately there are too many to individually mention, but please know your small act of kindness meant so much to each of us.

Thank you to Tanya and the Team at The Royal Hotel, Cookstown for the food so kindly provided during the wake; we really appreciated it. Many thanks to those who donated in lieu of flowers for Marie Curie.

Many thanks to all the medical staff involved in Ida’s life over the last few years, with a special thanks to Dr Fenton, Dr Evans and the Mandeville staff team for their unending care to Ida during her illness; the empathy, warmth and love shown to Ida is truly appreciated and acknowledged. Thank you to the Acute Oncology services and nursing staff team and all other health professionals involved in Ida’s final weeks in hospital, your professionalism, warmth and understanding made Ida’s last weeks much more comfortable to both her and the family. To the District Nursing Team and Marie Curie staff involved throughout Ida’s journey and especially in the final week of Ida’s life; we as a family could not have gone through those last days without your support, experience and care provided to both Ida and us.

Finally as a family, we would like to say a special and heartfelt thanks to Helen, Kristy and all the Staff at D. Watters Funeral Services for the endless support offered to us as a family during this difficult time and for the dignified, empathetic and professional manner in which all arrangements were carried out.
Thanks to Janni Knox, Celebrant for the caring words during Ida’s ceremony and to Joanne Mwawa for the prayers and support during the service.

Unfortunately we cannot thank everyone individually, but know that the kindness, love and warmth offered to us as a family has helped us during these difficult days and beyond.
