Month’s Mind Notice for James Toner (14 November 2024)
As we remember Daddy on the Month’s Mind of his passing, we his loving family, wish to send thanks to our exceptionally kind extended family, neighbours and friends who supported us in so many ways and with such generosity. We are extremely grateful to those who attended Daddy’s wake and funeral, those who sent flowers and messages of sympathy and those who telephoned or called at the house. This brought great comfort and is very much appreciated by the family. Your sympathy and kindness will be remembered with affection and gratitude.
We wish to extend our grateful appreciation to Father McAleer, Parish Priest of Donaghmore, for his support, direction and kindness at Daddy’s wake and Funeral Mass. To the clergy, your prayers and Masses continue to give us comfort and solace – Father Peter O’Neill, we thank you for the visits which you paid to daddy in the past few years and especially in his last days – your prayers and companionship brought him much peace.
We too want to express our thanks to Michael the Sacristan and to the grave diggers for their compassionate service. The beautiful music courtesy of Malachy Cush and Rory Madden added so much to Daddy’s Funeral Mass. A special word of thanks to Paudge Quinn and Co. Funeral Directors for their professional and compassionate service in attending to all the necessary arrangements.
We would like to thank in a special way the carers from Enable Care Services, who tended to Daddy with such care and affection for this last number of years. He grew very fond of you all, as did we as a family – we are very grateful for all of your help and support. We thank also the staff at Campbell Surgery Dungannon, The District Nursing Team in South Tyrone Hospital and Torrent Pharmacy who provided Daddy with the utmost ongoing care.
Daddy is missed beyond measure by his daughters Jennifer (Son-in-law Michael) and Emma (Son-in-law Eddie), by his sons Patrick (Daughter in-law Sarah), Jimmy (Daughter in-law Patsy), Alex (Daughter in-law Patricia), Martin (Daughter in-law Karen) and Jonathan (Daughter in-law Una), by his loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren and by his brother Danny. Predeceased by his loving wife Josephine (RIP).
