The death has occurred of:
Jean ORR (née Cavan)
The family of the late Jean Orr wish to say a very sincere ‘Thanks’ to all who helped in Jean’s final months as she suffered from an incurable cancer.
Our especial thanks are to the doctors at Larne Medical Practice, the staff at Antrim, the Royal and City hospitals for their care and
expertise, our district nursing team, the Hospice nurses, the occupational therapists, her carers from Optimum Care and from the
Northern Trust Home Care for their kindness, the social workers who arranged for so much support for Jean so that she could remain at home, and our wonderful Marie Curie nurses whose care and attention made such a difference during Jean’s final hours.
In general, our usually much maligned Health Service was superb. We could not have asked for more and are forever grateful.
The service we received from E W Ramsey and Son, our funeral directors was excellent, courteous and efficient and our sincere thanks go to them for their great care.
Lastly, our thanks go to the Rev. Harold Sharp for leading us through a beautiful funeral service, to our minister, the Rev. Arlene Moore for her co-ordinating work, to all who kindly sent cards and letters of sympathy and to our neighbours and friends for their kindness and support through our many difficult days.
‘The passing of time may ease the pain of loss but happy memories remain undimmed.’
