The son and daughter and the entire family circle of the late Jim Doherty, wish to express our sincere thanks to all our family, friends, neighbours and the wider community who sympathised with us on the bereavement of Jim. We will forever remember the kindness and support shown to us at this time.

To those who provided refreshments and support at the wake and funeral and relatives who travelled to be with us, we are so grateful for your kindness.

We wish to thank the carers who cared for Jim at home, Ward 42 for the care he got in Altnagelvin Hospital and especially to Oakleaves Care home for the care that was provided to Jim in the last ten weeks of his life.

Thanks to those who sent mass and sympathy cards and online messages, your kind and meaningful words meant a lot to the family. Furthermore, a huge thank you to any one who donated money to DEEDS in lieu of flowers.

To all those who attended and participated in the mass thank you for making it so meaningful, we are very grateful.

Thanks to Fr Sean who attended Jim in Oakleaves Care home and Fr Canny who called to our home. Also a special thanks to Fr Lagan who officiated the funeral Mass and for delivering such a touching eulogy. Thanks to Fidelma McCormick for the beautiful singing.

Finally, we wish to thank all at WJ O’Brien & Son Funeral Directors, Eglinton, for their expert guidance, continued professionalism and respect throughout.

Jim’s Months mind will be celebrated on Saturday 8th February at 6pm in the Immaculate Conception Church, Trench Road.

Padre Pio pray for him.
