John Mohan, Follom Little, Corranny, Roslea, Co. Fermanagh BT92 7LR.
Died 3rd March 2025

We, the family of the late John Mohan, R.I.P., would like to express our most sincere gratitude and appreciation for the many gestures of kindness and expressions of sympathy after Dad’s passing. A heartfelt thank you to all our families, friends and neighbours for their help and support during Dad’s illness, we will be forever grateful.

We extend our deepest gratitude to all those who called to the house, phoned, sent Mass cards, letters of sympathy, attended the funeral Mass in person or online and travelled from afar to be with us. Thanks to all who supported us during the wake, from those who helped serve refreshments, those who prepared and brought food, parking attendants, friends and relatives who sat up, Liam Mohan for providing parking space at Corranny Bar, those who showed a presence on the road side and everyone who helped in many other ways. Your support truly helped us through these most difficult days and allowed us time to mourn. A sincere thanks to all the carers, Enable Care Team, Marie Curie Nurses, Palliative Care Nurses, Motor Neurone Disease Association, Rapid Response Team, District Nurses, Doctors and Staff at Maple Group Health Centre and the Medical Staff in the many hospitals that Dad attended throughout the past two years.

Our deepest thanks to Fr. John Flanagan and Fr. Gabriel Dolan, Fr. Jim Moore and Fr. John Chester for their pastoral care during Dad’s illness. We are truly blessed to have had Fr. Flanagan and Fr. Dolan celebrate the requiem Mass and provide a lovely and fitting homily. Thank you to everyone who participated in the funeral Mass, from readings, prayers of the faithful, reflection, carrying the gifts, eucharistic ministers, pallbearers, Karen McElroy for her beautiful singing and the Manley Family for their beautiful music. We would also like to thank everyone who assisted with the car parking at the chapel. We very much appreciated the guard of honour from Aghadrumsee GAC and the touching tribute from Dad’s greyhound friends. Many thanks for all the donations received for Marie Curie and Motor Neurone Disease Association. A special thanks to the funeral director, Paul Mohan for the dignified and professional manner in which he carried out Dad’s funeral arrangements ably assisted by Yvonne, Fabiola and James. We would also like to thank our kind neighbours who prepared Dad’s final resting place. Thank you to Brian’s Bar and all the staff who provided refreshments after Dad’s funeral Mass. We trust this acknowledgement will be accepted as a token of our heartfelt appreciation. A Mass will be offered for the intentions of everyone who helped in any way.

John, who was predeceased by his wife Anne, will be dearly missed by his many friends and relatives, particularly his children, John, Tom and Mary, his grandchildren Céilidh Anne and John Joe, son-in-law Damian, daughter-in-law Grace, his sisters Mena Courtney and Angela Prunty and extended family.
