We the family of the late John O’Connor wish to express our sincere gratitude to all who sympathised with us on our recent bereavement.
We are truly grateful to all who visited John in Hospital, to the Drs and staff of A&E, Ward 6, and to Fr Donnelly who provided spiritual comfort and support.
We thank most sincerely all who sent texts, online messages, sympathy and mass cards, floral tributes or donations in lieu, and those who brought gifts of food. Special thanks to everyone who attended the wake and funeral especially those who travelled long distances, and those who watched online.
Sincere thanks to Fr Beggan for visiting John in his home, and Canon Munster for leading the prayers at the wake and celebrating the Requiem Mass.
We are sincerely grateful to Peter Carty, Funeral Director, for carrying out the funeral arrangements in such a professional and dignified manner, and to the gravediggers for preparing John’s final resting place.
Thank you to Louise, Anne and Brenda for their musical tribute and to John’s family for their musical, liturgical, and other contributions to the Mass.
Very sincere thanks to John’s nephews and nieces for their help and support. Thank you to Eleanor and John, Eucharistic Ministers, and the Sacristans, to O’Shea Graphic Design for preparing the online service so discreetly, to Erne Digital Print for preparing the excellent Mass Booklet and to the Flower Basket for the beautiful floral tributes.
Sincere thanks to those who kindly served refreshments at John’s wake, Dulrush Lodge for their excellent catering after the funeral, and Mulleek Community Association for use of the hall.
We are very grateful to Gabs Professional Services, and to everyone who provided traffic control at the wake and funeral.
Sincere thanks to Drs and staff, Rathmore Clinic, and Maria and staff, McGuinness Pharmacy, for their care and support. Sincere thanks to the District Nursing Team and John’s Carers for their attentiveness.
We will be forever grateful to everyone who helped and supported us. As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our sincere appreciation.
John’s Months Mind Mass will be celebrated in St Michael’s Church, Mulleek on Sunday 2nd February at 10.00 am.
May his gentle soul Rest in Peace.
