Acknowledgement

Joseph Patrick Gallagher

We, the family of the late Joe Gallagher, would like to acknowledge and express our deeply held gratitude and prayerful thanks to all those who offered support by their prayer, presence and sympathy during the time of our fathers death, his wake and funeral Rites.

Our sincere thanks for those who travelled great distances from across Ireland, the UK and Europe, to be present at with us at the time of our loss.

Our thanks and respects to all who attended the house at the time of Dad's wake, who brought and sent cards, floral tributes, brought gifts of food, sustenance and refreshments to our home. In a special way we thank Daryl and Conor White, Husten Glen, Brendan’s, Laburnum, Doc of Doherty’s Bakery and many other family members, colleagues, friends and relatives for providing food and groceries. It is deeply appreciated by us all and we are immensely grateful for your kindness.

In a special way the family would like to thank Fr. Lagan for attending dad in hospital and administering the sacrament of the sick and Last Rites. As a family it brought us great peace and comfort. To Fr. Farren and Fr. Doherty for attending the house and praying with our family, in particular the Rosary, which brought us real comfort.

To Fr. Gerard Mongan for his presence, support and advice to us all at home and his thoughtful homily, which captured dad completely, and for the beautiful requiem Mass, over which he presided. We also thank Fr. John Forbes for concelebrating and Noel Gallagher for serving.

For Ciaran Carlin for providing the beautiful music on the tin whistle, it added a prayerful calm to the proceedings.

To the Doctors and Nurses on Ward 26 for their care and sensitivity in looking after Dad's dignity and needs at the time of his illness and their sensitivity to us as a family, we are grateful.

To Paul Farren, Kieran Dunne, Charlie McLaughlin and all the members of Bradley & McLaughlin Funeral Directors for their sensitive professionalism, encouragement and guidance throughout the wake and funeral, we owe you all a debt of gratitude.

It is impossible to thank everyone individually, as much as we wish we could, but we ask that you accept this acknowledgement as a sign of our deepest gratitude for each of you and all that you gave us by your presence.

Padre Pio pray for him, Our Lady of Knock hold him in your love.

Have you considered?
