The death has occurred of:
Larry Strain
The family of the late Larry Strain wish to express their sincere thanks to all those who sympathised with them in their recent bereavement.
Our thanks to the many friends, neighbours and extended family circle for their kindness in calling at Larry’s home, and to those who attended the wake and/or funeral. Heartfelt thank you goes to all of those who sent mass cards, sympathy cards, messages and telephoned, and to all who brought food, donations, wreaths and flowers.
We are so thankful to all those for their compassion, kindness and support during this difficult time.
A special word of thanks to the exceptional healthcare professionals who cared for Larry, in particular Dr Rodgers, Dr Deehan and the staff of the Strule Medical Practice, Denise Whittle and the staff of both Omagh Hospital and Primary Care Complex and the South West Acute Hospital for their care and attention. Thanks also to the dedicated emergency service staff who attended to Larry.
Sincere gratitude to the special carers who provided such wonderful care to Larry and for their love, friendship and support. In particular, Janine McCaffrey, Philly McEnhill, Josie Colton, Joan Ryan, Caroline McCrystal, Celsus Devlin, Lynda Jane Clogherty and the staff of North West Care. We will be forever in your debt.
We would like to thank Father Peter McCawille for his ongoing support and friendship, Father Eugene Hassan for his help and guidance and Father Thomas Canning for his uplifting celebration of Requiem Mass and his spiritual support at this sad time. We also convey our appreciation to all who assisted with the Mass, the Sacristan, and everyone who took part in the Liturgy, especially our readers and musicians Gerarda McCann, Damien Conway and Larry’s daughter in-law Geraldine, who provided the beautiful, reverent and uplifting music.
Thank you to Sean O’Kane Funeral Directors for the dignified and professional manner in which the funeral arrangements were carried out. We would also like to thank the gravediggers for preparing Larry’s final resting place.
Sincere thanks to Drumquin Wolfe Tones and Omagh St Enda’s GAA clubs for their guards of honour.
As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement to everyone who helped and supported us as a gesture of our family’s deepest gratitude and appreciation.
Larry’s Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated in St Patrick’s Chapel, Drumquin on Saturday 22nd March at 6.30pm. Refreshments afterwards in the Parish Hall.
