The family of the late Leo Canning would like to express our sincere thanks to everyone who supported and sympathised with us during our recent bereavement. A loving father, father-in-law, grandfather, great grandfather, brother- in- law and friend.
Thanks to those who called at the home, sent Mass and Sympathy cards, phone calls, messages, sent flowers and attended the funeral, especially those who had to travel long distances. These acts of kindness and support were a great comfort to us all.

A special thanks to the Carers, District Nurses, staff of Foyle Hospice and Marie Curie for the excellent care and support they provided to him throughout his illness.

Our sincere thanks to Mgr. McCanny, Fr Dermott Harkin, Fr Noel McDermott and Fr Liam McClary for their comforting words and the lovely Requiem Mass. Thanks to the eucharistic ministers, to those who read and presented gifts at the funeral. Thanks to the Jimmy the sacristan, the gravediggers and to Liam and Jeanette Kelly for the lovely music in the chapel.

Thanks also to W. J. O’Brien & Son, Funeral Directors, Eglinton, for the professional & dignified manner in which the funeral was carried out. Thanks also to Curran’s Bakery for providing the refreshments after the burial in St Finlough's Centre.

As it is impossible to thank everyone individually, we trust this acknowledgement will be accepted as a token of our very sincerest appreciation.

Our Lady of Knock pray for him.

Leo’s Month’s Mind will be celebrated on Saturday 21 September 2024 at 6pm in St Finlough’s Church, Ballykelly.
