Maritta Gant
Acknowledgement- Maritta Gant
Maritta’s husband Max, daughter Samantha (Richard) and grandchildren Jack & Lara wish to extend their heartfelt gratitude to everyone who sympathised with them on their sad bereavement.
Heartfelt thanks to everyone who took the time to send cards, letters, flowers, messages via text and social media. We are especially grateful to those who came in large numbers to the house and funeral service to support us and offer their condolences, as well as to those who, unable to attend, sent messages of support afterwards.
Our sincere thanks to everyone who has made donations and continues to do so in Maritta’s memory in lieu of flowers to Marie Curie. Your generosity brings us comfort, knowing that other families will benefit greatly from this support in the future.
We would like to extend our thanks to all those who cared for Maritta in Altnagelvin Hospital.
A special word of thanks to the Omagh District nursing team for their dedication and care of Maritta.
To the staff of Care Plus NI for their excellent care following her discharge from hospital.
We would like to express our profound gratitude to the Marie Cure nurses for the professional and compassionate manner in which they cared for Maritta. As a family, we are totally indebted to the care we were also given and took great comfort that Maritta’s final days were of contentment.
We also extend our heartfelt thanks to Rev. Jonathan Cowan for his pastoral support to Maritta and the entire family during and after Maritta’s illness and for the lovely funeral service held at Maritta’s home.
Our sincere thanks to Errol Thompson for the lovely tribute he gave Maritta and to Gordan Speer for playing the organ which we know would have meant the world to Maritta.
Thank you to Armstrong Funeral Directors for the very dignified way, in which they carried out the funeral arrangements and for the kindness and support they provided throughout.
We also wish to thank 1st Castlederg Presbyterian Church for the use of their hall for refreshments after the funeral and to Bobby Rutledge for his assistance. Thanks also to the gravediggers who prepared the grave.
Thanks to Barbara Pinkerton and the team for the refreshments after the funeral and to all those who helped with teas at the wake.
To Karen Ballentine and Cheryl Briggs, Mountjoy Presbyterian Church for their pastoral support to the family.
A special word of thanks to all our close friends, neighbours and work colleagues for their unwavering love and support before and during Maritta’s entire illness.
Since Maritta’s passing, it is impossible to thank all those individually who have helped the family in any way. Please accept this message as a token of our deep appreciation.
