Acknowledgement from the family of the late May McDonald (RIP)

We the family of the late May McDonald would like to take this opportunity to express our sincerest and most heartfelt thanks to all of you who sympathised with us in our recent bereavement.

We greatly valued each and every one who attended the wake took the time to send Mass cards, sympathy cards, letters, phone calls, messages and donations.

To all those who surrounded us with their kindness, care and support as Mays’ funeral cortege travelled to St Catherine’s Church , a fitting tribute at a place where she experienced so many wonderful memories and to those who gathered at the Church, the grave-side and watched the live stream of the Requiem Mass, we extend to you our gratitude and thanks.

A special word of thanks to mums friends and neighbours. Sincere thanks to the staff at Rockfield Nursing home. Our thanks are extended to the carers and nurses that tended to May in her home in recent years.

Special thanks to Father Donal Mehigam of St Catherine Church for celebrating the Requiem Mass and burial , to Janice Gribben for the beautiful music.

Finally, thank you to Patricia and staff at Heaney Keenan Funeral Directors for their compassion and professionalism with which they carried out Mays’ Funeral and to Central Florists for the beautiful flower arrangements.

It is impossible for us to personally thank everyone, please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our family’s sincere thanks and appreciation. May she Rest In Peace with her beloved husband Paddy.

May’s month mind mass will take place on Saturday 1st March 2025 at 7.30 pm in St Catherines Church.

Mary, Valerie, Monica, Martina Josephine and Desmond.
