Mayor Alderman Elizabeth Adger MBE

As a family, we would like to take the opportunity to convey our heartfelt appreciation for all the kind words and messages of support from all who were touched by the love and devotion of our mother Beth Adger. Given the official title of Mayor Alderman Elizabeth Adger MBE as she was laid to rest, to all of us, she will always be Beth, Sis, Auntie, Nana, and Mum. As we entered the service we were amazed by the crowd of people that attended to be by our side in her honour. But then we all know that our mum was so much more than just our mum. We can only hope that we sent her home, proud of how we said our goodbye.
A huge thanks to Laurel house, the staff of AMU ward 2, and ward A6 where she closed her eyes for the last time. Our thanks also go to James Henry funeral services, Erin McBride, the Sea Cadets of Ballymena, the Council's interim Chief Executive Valerie Watts, and Reverend Alistair Bates for helping us lay her to rest, and the volunteers within Wellington Presbyterian for providing the refreshments after a very emotional day.
