The family of the late Oliver (Ollie) Rooney have requested this acknowledgement is posted in gratitude and appreciation.

Ollie's wife Anna, daughters Aisling, Colleen, Sheelagh, grandchildren brothers and sisters and the wider family circle wish to thank all those who sympathised with them during their very sad and unexpected bereavement.
To all our wonderful family, friends and kind neighbours whose help and support was invaluable over the wake and funeral and indeed throughout the years.
To all those who attended the wake and funeral, brought mass and sympathy cards, telephoned, messaged or posted online their condolences we assure you these were greatly appreciated. We thank also the many individuals and businesses who brought gifts of food to the wake and in particular Cordelias Armagh and Eglish Country Fry.

We thank also the ladies who made and served the tea throughout the busy days of the wake and to the men who provided help with parking and general chores. Much thanks and appreciation to the staff of Dernaseer Engineering and to the emergency services who provided prompt assistance to Ollie on his sudden passing.

No words seem adequate to thank the priests of the parish and in particular Fr Barry Matthews who celebrated a very personal and fitting funeral mass. Thanks also to Cathy and Patricia for the music which enhanced the mass and to the Sacriston for preparing the church. We were overwhelmed by the large crowd who came to the funeral and were humbled by the very reverent guards of honour provided by O'Connells GAC, Tullysaran Road Bowlers, Our Lady's P.S (Tullysaran) and St Jarlaths P.S (Blackwatertown).

To the management and staff of Dernaseer Engineering where Ollie spent his working life we thank you all for your friendship and support to him and to all of us.

Finally to Bridget Mone and team from Mone Funeral Directors for their professional and dignified handling of the funeral arrangements and to Tullysaran Hall committe for the use of the hall to host the post burial refreshments kindly provided by Paula from Orange Box catering.

At risk of failing to mention someone we trust this acknowledgement will be accepted by all as a sincere token of our appreciation.

Ollie's month mind mass will be held in The Church of the Immaculate Conception Tullysaran on Monday 1st July @7:30pm
