Paddy LOGUE
Late of 38 Listymore Park, Castlederg. Died 1st December 2024.
Paddy’s son Seamus, daughter Karen, grandsons Jamie and Jack and the extended family circle would like to offer their heartfelt thanks and appreciation to all those who have sympathised with them on their recent sad bereavement.
We would like to thank family and friends who travelled a great distance to be with us and in particular Dad’s nephew Jimmy and Dad’s nephew Brendan’s wife Linda and daughter Paula from England.
We will always be forever thankful to Dad’s niece Mary and great niece Margaret who were so attentive and supportive to Dad after mum died.
Thank you to all our family, friends and neighbours who attended the wake and funeral, viewed the funeral online, sent mass cards and sympathy cards, brought food gifts, helped in the family home and gave a generous donation in lieu of flowers to the St. Patrick’s Parish Church Castlederg restoration fund.
We are eternally grateful to Fr. Paul Fraser for his friendship and comfort that he brought to Dad on his many visits to him and for all the caring support and spiritual guidance he has given to us as a family on many occasions.
We thank you for celebrating Dad’s Requiem Mass and for the endearing homily which was a true reflection of Dad’s life.
We would also like to thank Fr. Peter Mc Cawille for all his frequent phone calls and visits to Dad and for con celebrating his requiem mass along with Fr. Paul, Fr. Patsy Arkinson and Fr. Gerard Mongan.
We would like to thank Mgr. Andy Dolan, Fr. Colm O’ Doherty, Fr John Gilmore and Fr. Thomas Canning for calling at the family home during the wake.
We would like to thank all who cared for Dad, Dr B. O Hare over the years and Dr M.Gallen recently and all the other colleagues from Western Rural Healthcare Castlederg and to Thelma and all the staff of Bradley’s Castlederg who were always very supportive to Dad.
A particular word of thanks goes to Bridget, Roisin and Mairead from the Castlederg district nursing team who always provided outstanding and dedicated care and treated Dad with such dignity and respect.
Thank you also to friend and neighbour, Kathleen Catterson who faithfully called with Holy communion when Dad couldn’t attend mass.
We would like to thank all those who participated in Dad’s requiem mass, making it very special, to soloist Teresa Duggan for providing the most beautiful and serene music.
To Jimmy the Sacristan, who along with wife Shiela were always so kind to Dad, to Tommy for preparing dad’s final resting place beside his beloved wife and our dear mum Katie, done with great care and attention.
To our family friends,Charlie and Anne Willie John and Martin for taking the utmost care with Dad and showing us how much he meant to you all by conducting his funeral in a very professional and respectful manner.
To Charlie and Anne Lynch , Willie John and Siobhan Mc Guckin and the late Dinny and Reba Carlin and all their families, we sincerely thank you for always treating Dad as part of your families and being so caring and welcoming to him and us.
As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually we hope this acknowledgment will be accepted as a token of our appreciation.
Paddy’s month’s mind mass will be celebrated on Sunday 5th January at 12:30 in St. Francis of Assisi Church Drumnabey.
