Paul WHITTINGTON

We are extremely sad to announce the death of our cherished father, grandfather, brother, uncle and husband Paul Whittington. He passed away suddenly at the age of 65 on the Monday 10th February in Scotland, after visiting with his daughter’s family. His wife Linda was with him at the end.

Paul is lovingly remembered by his wife Linda of 42 years, daughters Jenny and Sara and their partners Jack and Tom, sons Ryan and David and their partners Alice and Samantha and and his grandchildren Thomas, Lola and Finn, his sister Yvonne Lee and her husband Gary, their children and grandchildren. As well as Paul’s wider relatives the Donnan and Melville families. He will forever hold a big place in all our hearts.

Funeral Service will be held in Dundonald Methodist Church, Islay Gardens, Dundonald, Belfast BT16 2WZ on Monday 24th February 2025 at 2.00pm.

House private.

Paul grew up as son of a Methodist minister, his father Stanley Whittington. As a result he and his mother Nanette, sister Yvonne, brother David (who died in infancy) and father were well travelled, living in Gambia, Canada, West Cork and Portadown before settling in Belfast.

Paul taught Physics with great passion in Sullivan Upper School for almost three decades and was heavily involved in the schools Scripture Union and Duke of Edinburgh award scheme.
