Died 19th February 2025

The family of the late Peter Lyttle R.I.P wish to express our deep appreciation and sincere thanks for the support shown following the loss of our ‘Beragh Legend’ Peter.

He is dearly missed by his brothers Anthony and Sean and his sisters Nora and Theresa and family circle, not to mention his wide circle of friends he accumulated along the way.

A special word of thanks to Fr Sean McCartan for his consoling eulogy and for celebrating his requiem mass. Thank you to the readers, eucharistic ministers and gift bearers who contributed to the beautiful funeral mass. Special thanks to Sharon Farley and Clare McAleer for the beautiful music and hymns, which Peter himself specifically requested be played at his funeral.

Many thanks to Fergal Farley Funeral Directors for the professional and dignified manner in which the funeral arrangements were carried out and to the grave diggers who prepared Peter’s final resting place.

A word of thanks to Niall Farley who sorted the house contents and looked after Peter’s dog Luna. To Geraldine Donnelly ‘Donnelly Buses’ who transported all who attended the wake in terrible weather and road conditions. Thanks also to Dr Slane and the staff of Carrickmore Health Centre.

Special thanks to Sheenagh Donnelly, ‘Bumble and Bee Florist, Dromore’, who went above and beyond to get a horse wreath for a very special man. Heart felt thanks to James Quin who led the funeral cortege on Peter’s pony ‘Dolly’ and trap.

And finally to all who called at Peter’s and attended the funeral mass.

Peter’s Months mind mass will be celebrated on Sunday 23rd March at 11.30pm, Church of Immaculate Conception, Beragh.
