Phyllis McGEOWN
The family of the late Phyllis McGeown would like to thank all those who supported Phyllis throughout her illness and on her sad passing. We thank the staff of Craigavon Hospital in particular 1 North, Enable care team and the staff Willowbank Surgery who cared for Phyllis at home and in hospital. We thank also Janet for all her care and help to Phyllis but more importantly for keeping her in humour until the end.
To Rev Fr Greg Carvill who visited Phyllis frequently and for celebrating a very fitting funeral mass and to Rev Fr Sean ONeill (keady parish) and Rev Fr Malachy Murphy (Whitecross) for their prayerful attendance at the wake. We thank also Liam the sacristan for preparing the church and Eilis Fox for the beautiful music which enhanced the funeral mass.
To Bridget Mone (funeral director) for the dignity and kindness shown to Phyllis and our family, and BJ Sheridan who assisted her. We cannot thank you both enough.
Finally to the gravedigger, Ballymacnab Hall Committee for the use of the hall to host the post burial refreshments kindly provided by RT & staff. We thank also the many individuals and businesses who brought gifts of food to the wake and kept us all fuelled during the busy wake days/nights .. thank you all
Most importantly we thank all the many people who visited the wake and attended the funeral to pay their own personal respects to Phyllis and for supporting us as a family.We take great comfort in this.
Phyllis month mind mass will be held in St Patrick’s Church Ballymacnab onTuesday 18th March at 7pm
