Died in the arms of his family and in the care of the NI Hospice. Beloved husband of Ruth. A loving and loved father to Deborah, Hilary and Tim. Father-in-law to Stephen, Mark and Lindsay. Adored Granda Ric of Leah, Nathan, Daniel, Rachel, James, Adam, Eve and Ruby.

A funeral will take place at 10am on Wednesday 9th April in Antrim & Newtownabbey Crematorium.

Family flowers only please. Donations if desired may be sent direct to NI Hospice.

He was dearly loved and will be sorely missed by his heart broken family

Richard always had a smile on his face and a positive attitude, we never heard him complain even when it was obvious he was in pain.
He would appear at work always with a hand full of biscuits and over a cup of coffee regale us with stories of his past adventures but what gave him most pleasure was the stories of his family and how his grandkids were growing up. His family was his true passion (and gardening lol)
He never had a bad word to say about anyone he was a true gentleman.
