The death has occurred of:
Rita O'Hare (née Malocca)
We, the family of the late Rita O’Hare (RIP) who passed on 23rd February, wish to express our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who supported us during this difficult time. Your prayers, kind words and gestures of sympathy have brought us immense comfort and strength as we try to come to accept our dear Mother’s passing.
A special thank you to all who attended Rita’s wake and funeral, sent messages of condolence, offered Mass Cards and kept us in your thoughts and prayers. Your kindness has meant so much to our family and it is deeply appreciated.
We extend our sincere gratitude to Monsignor Hugh Connolly for his guidance and for the celebration of Requiem Mass, carried out in such a meaningful way and honoring Rita’s life and her Italian family heritage. Also, to Aine Cassidy for the beautiful singing and music during Rita’s Mass, translating the final piece into Italian which made for a very special mass and was very much appreciated by the family.
Our appreciation and thanks to Rita’s GP, Dr Mary Bonner, a GP committed to her patients and to the dedicated domiciliary care team along with the community nursing team. A special thanks to Kim and Deirdre. They all cared for her with such respect and dignity.
We are deeply appreciative of Cathal McAnulty and his team for their professionalism, dignity and empathy in carrying out every detail of Rita’s wake and funeral.
As it is impossible to thank everyone individually, we hope that this acknowledgement serves as a token of our sincere appreciation.
Rita’s Month Mind Mass will be celebrated on Saturday 5th April at 11.30am Mass at The Holy Cross Abbey (Benedictine Monastery) Rostrevor. Her dear Mother, Pasqualena Malocca’s Anniversary Mass will also be celebrated at the same Mass.
