Wernegger, Rudy (Rudolf) Passed away peacefully on April 2nd, 2025, in Bad Soden, Germany, aged 61 years.

Much-loved husband of Fiona Harrington, devoted son of Traude & the late Manfred, brother of the late Manuela, cherished nephew of Eva and Hansi, cousin of Claudia & Peter, and son-in-law of the late Frank & Ann. Rudy was a proud and loving uncle to Julian, Madeline and Francesca, and a kind and thoughtful brother-in-law to Emer, John and Margaret, and Kevin.

Rudy’s warmth, humour and generous spirit touched the lives of many. He will be deeply missed by his family, his colleagues at Deutsche Bank, and his wide circle of friends across Germany, Austria, America, Spain and Northern Ireland.

Requiem mass will take place at St Comgall’s Catholic Church, Bangor, at 10am on Wednesday, April 16th. Visitation at Rudy’s home (Seaforth Road, Ballyholme) on Tuesday April 15th between 5pm and 9pm.

Family flowers only please. Donations in Rudy’s memory, if desired, may be made to the RNLI Bangor Branch—a cause close to his heart c/o S Clarke and Son Funeral Directors, 64 Newtownards Road, Bangor BT20 4DR

He brought light and laughter wherever he went, and he will be remembered always with love and affection.

My deepest condolences!
I was totally shocked when I received this very sad news. Knowing Rudy for so many years, I still can't believe that he passed away such young in age, far too early. Still remember him as such a warm and humorous person. He lived a big part of his life outside his home country Austria, but every time he came back for a visit my then wife (his sister) enjoyed very much to see him again. He was such a family person, always in a good mood.
I will miss Rudy very much, we all are losing a great person.
