Passed away 24th February 2025. Peacefully at his home after a short illness with his loving family by his side.

Dearly beloved husband of Jean. Loving and devoted dad to Jennifer and Janet. Father-in-law to David and Charlie. Proud Granda to Sam. Much loved brother of Bobby and Sister-in-law Christine. Loving uncle of Alan, Cathy, Nicola and Paul and their families.

A Service of Thanksgiving for Uel’s life will be held in St. Nicholas’ Church of Ireland Carrickfergus, on Monday 3rd March 2025 at 11.00 a.m. and afterwards to Antrim & Newtownabbey Crematorium for 2.00 p.m.

Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu, if desired, to Boys Brigade East Antrim Battalion Heritage Society c/o S & J Irvine Funeral Directors 31-35 Irish Quarter South, Carrickfergus BT38 8BL (cheques made payable to the charity; card payments welcome via telephone on 028 9335 1540 Mon-Fri 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. Cash donations also welcome.)
