The death has occurred of:
Sarah HOOKS (née McClure)
It's with deep sadness that we wanted to let you know that Sarah’s earthly journey came to an end yesterday evening, Sunday 16th February, after over two years of battling against cancer, with great courage, compassion, quiet humility and a desire through it all to point others to her Saviour Jesus. Sarah loved Jesus here on earth; and so in the midst of the sadness and sorrow, we also have deep hope knowing that as the Lord called her Home yesterday afternoon, Sarah is now safe in the Lord’s everlasting arms, more alive than we are, eternally healed and restored, thanks to Jesus.
Please pray for Sarah’s beloved husband Keith, who has so faithfully loved and cared for Sarah. Pray too for Sarah’s mum and dad, Stephney and Malcolm, Sarah’s brother James, his wife Heather and little daughter Miriam. Pray also for the whole Hooks family - for David, Ruth, Dave, Maddie, Helen and Matthew and the wider family and circle of friends.
You're really welcome to join us for a time of worship and thanksgiving to God for the life of Sarah, this Saturday 22nd February 2025:
* 10am: Short Service of Committal at Clandeboye Cemetery, Bangor - this is open to anyone who is able to come along.
* 11am: Service of Worship and Thanksgiving for Sarah's life and witness to Jesus, in St Andrew's Presbyterian Church, 111 Clandeboye Road, Bangor. Car parking will be available in the church car park, and also in the Clandeboye Primary School Car Park (accessed just beside St Andrew's). The service will also be Livestreamed (details will be shared later this week).
In Sarah’s memory we’d love to support 3 charities that were close to her heart, Friends of the Cancer Centre, Marie Curie and Fire Lily. Donation can be sent to S. Clarke and Son Funeral Directors, 64 Newtownards Road, Bangor, Co. Down, BT20 4DR.
Jesus said, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die.” (John 11:25-26)
“He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” (Revelation 21:4)
