The death has occurred of:
Seamus McNamee
We, the family of the late Seamus McNamee , wish to express our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who supported us and sympathised with us during our recent sad loss. The kindness and compassion shown to us has been a great comfort during this difficult time.
We are deeply moved by the overwhelming support of all who took the time to attend Seamus’s wake and funeral, and to those who watched the Funeral Mass online please know that we felt your support, and it has brought us great comfort.
To those who waited patiently to pay their respects, and who stood with us in shared sorrow, your presence meant more than words can express. To all who sent Mass cards, sympathy cards, online condolences, donations to Marie Curie, and those who generously brought food to the house, your kindness, love, and support have been a true source of strength.
To our extended family, friends, and neighbours your invaluable help and presence will never be forgotten.
A special thank you to Seamus’s former colleagues at Ulsterbus/Translink both past and present who lined the route on his final journey.
A special thank you also to St Francis of Assisi primary school Keady and St Patrick's Academy Dungannon for providing a guard of honour.
Our heartfelt thanks goes to the Keady Lourdes Committee who facilitated Seamus's many trips to Lourdes, a place where he found great solace.
Our sincere appreciation extends to all of the carers who attended over the years, and to the doctors, nurses, and staff of Willowbank Surgery Keady and all district nursing staff , the acute care at home team , and the SHSCT Domiciliary team who attended and supported Seamus, and especially the Marie Curie nurses and the Palliative Care team for their dedication and compassion.
We are also deeply grateful to Canon Seán O’Neill, PP ,Rev. Aidan McCann CC for facilitating Seamus’s Funeral Mass, as well as to the Very Rev Gregory Carvill for concelebrating. To Canon Seán, who led such a beautiful Funeral Mass, and captured Seamus so perfectly in his homily, and who has been an enduring pillar of support, we will be eternally grateful.
Special gratitude to Catherine Grimley Hughes and Dermot McCusker, for the beautiful and moving music that made the Funeral Mass even more special. Your music truly brought comfort to all in attendance.
We would like to express our thanks to Cecilia Greene who faithfully brought Holy Communion to Seamus over the years.
A heartfelt thanks to Damian and Oonagh Smith and their staff of Damian Smith Funeral Directors for their outstanding professionalism and sensitivity in handling the arrangements for Seamus’s funeral. Your efforts ensured that he was laid to rest with the dignity and respect he so greatly deserved. We also extend our sincere thanks to those who prepared Seamus’s final resting place with such care and dedication.
Thanks also to Mary B and Geraldine and their staff at Mone’s Outside Catering , who provided support both at the house and the wonderful refreshments afterwards.
As it would be impossible to personally thank everyone, please accept this message as a token of our family’s deep appreciation. Your kindness and support have meant everything to us in this time of sorrow. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for all your intentions.
Seamus's Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday 23rd April at 10 am in St. Patrick's Church Keady.
"I just wanted to let you know that
I made it home.
Everything is so pretty here,
So white, so fresh, so new.
I wish that you could close
your eyes so you could see it too.
Please try not to be sad for me.
Try to understand.
God is taking care of me....
I'm in the shelter of His hands.
Here there is no sadness,
and no sorrow, and no pain.
Here there is no crying,
and I'll never hurt again.
Here it is so peaceful,
when all the angels sing.
I really have to go for now....
I've just got to try my wings.
P.S..... I'll be the first face
you see when you get here."
