The death has occurred of:
Siobhan McKINNEY
We, the family of the late Siobhan McKinney, wish to express our sincere gratitude to all our family and friends who sympathised with us on our recent sad bereavement of our loved wife, mother, daughter, grandmother, sister and friend. We will forever remember the kindness and support shown to us at this time.
To those who provided refreshments and support at the wake and funeral, gave their free time and comforted us throughout, words are inadequate, but we are so grateful for your generosity and kindness.
We wish to thank all the healthcare professionals for the compassionate care in which Siobhan received. Thanks to the North West Cancer Centre, ward 50 and Foyle Hospice home care team. Special thanks to Dr Nimir, Dr O’Doherty, Dr Lamberton, Helen & Karen specialist nurses.
Thanks to those who sent mass and sympathy cards and online messages to convey kind and meaningful words. Furthermore, a huge thank you for the beautiful flowers sent by many.
To all those who participated in the service, thank you for making it so meaningful, we are very grateful.
A special thanks to Father Stephen, who officiated the wonderful mass and for delivering such a touching eulogy that captured her life. Thanks to Fidelma for the beautiful singing.
Finally we wish to thank all at WJ O’Brien Funeral Directors for their expert guidance, continued professionalism and respect throughout.
Perhaps you sent a lovely card, or sat quietly in a chair.
Perhaps you sent a funeral spray, if so we saw it there.
Perhaps you spoke the kindest words as any friend could say.
Perhaps you were not there at all, just thought of us that day.
Whatever you did to console our heart, we thank you so much whatever the part.
Months mind mass in memory of Siobhan McKinney will be celebrated in Longtower Chapel on Wednesday 22nd January 2025 at 7.30pm.
