The family of the late Tommie Laird wish to thank all who sympathized with their recent loss by coming to the Church to meet the family the night before the funeral and / or attending the funeral itself. Thanks also to those who sent cards, messages, telephoned and called at our home.
Our grateful thanks to all the staff on Ward 8 and the Cardiac Unit at S.W.A.H for their professionalism and compassionate care for Tommie during his final weeks. Thanks to Dr Cathcart & Partners, Tracy Thompson, Sarah O’Hara, and other members of the Heart Care team at S.W.A.H - all of whom looked after Tommie for many years. Also, thanks to Raymond and the staff
at the Village Pharmacy, Ballinamallard for their help and kindness over the years.
Thanks to Rev. Gunther Andrich for his hospital visits and conducting the funeral service. Thanks to Rev. Charles Clements (tribute), Mrs. Jayne Vance (organist) and Mr. Robert Pearson (soloist) for their parts in the service.
Thanks to the Church elders for warmly welcoming visitors and along with the long-serving Church caretaker, Mrs. Vera Alexander, for ensuring everything went smoothly. Thanks to Mr. and Mrs. Joe Mahon and the staff of Mahon’s Hotel who provided tea, coffee and eats over two days.
Thanks to Mr. Jim Barnett, funeral director, assisted by Mr. Pat Britton who carried out Tommie’s wishes and was so very helpful to us.
Thanks to all who made donations to Mission Aviation Fellowship, Tommie’s charity of choice.
Finally, thanks to our friends and neighbours who went the extra mile to help – including the person who kindly left the two loaves of homemade wheaten bread at the door, it was delicious!
As it is impossible to thank everyone, please accept this acknowledgement of our sincere gratitude.
