Acknowledgment – The Late Vincent Devlin
We, the family of the late Vincent Devlin, wish to express our deepest gratitude to all who offered their sympathy and support during our recent bereavement. Your kindness and presence brought us great comfort during this difficult time.
To everyone who attended the wake and funeral Mass, sent Mass cards and flowers, brought refreshments, or assisted in any way—please know that your thoughtfulness has meant the world to us.
A heartfelt thank you to the incredible staff at Anne’s Homecare, the truly wonderful Marie Curie nurses, the District Nursing Team, the Acute Care Team, private carers, Campbell’s Surgery, and Donaghy’s Pharmacy. Your compassionate care and dedication to Daddy will never be forgotten—we will always be indebted to you.
A special word of appreciation to Dean Donaghy, Father McCallion, and Deacons Paul Mallon and Tony Hughes for their beautiful and comforting funeral service, as well as their many spiritual visits to our home.
We are also deeply grateful to Edendork GAC for their unwavering support from the very moment of Daddy’s passing. Your presence at the guard of honour, the stewarding during the wake, and the special tribute to the famous ‘Red Massey’ will forever be cherished. A special thank you to the McCann family for preparing the tractor.
To Daddy’s wonderful neighbours and friends—your loyalty, kindness, and support over the years have been a great source of comfort. It also meant so much to have family members travel from afar to be with us during this time.
Sincere thanks to Paudge and Eoin Quinn at E. Quinn & Sons Funeral Directors for their professionalism and dignity in carrying out their duties. Our gratitude also extends to Peter and Kieran for preparing Daddy’s final resting place.
A warm thank you to Grainne Maxwell for her beautiful singing and help in choosing the music, to John at Gill Print for the lovely Mass booklets, and to The Gables Restaurant for providing refreshments. We also appreciate Edendork GAC for the use of their facilities.
The outpouring of love and support we have received has truly touched our hearts, and we will always be grateful.
Vincent’s Month’s Mind Mass will be held on Friday, 21st March, at 7:30 PM in St. Malachy’s Church, Edendork.
With deepest appreciation,
The Devlin Family
