Died 3rd December 2024.
We the family of the late Violet, would like to express our sincere appreciation and heartfelt thanks to all those who sympathised, prayed for and supported us during and since our mother’s passing.
Violet was a widely respected lady, beloved wife of the late Gerard, treasured mother of Kevin, Caroline, Jacqueline and Geraldine, mother in law of Marie, Jimmy, Paul and Eamon. Cherished sister of Cecil (Anne), Roy and the late Betty. Devoted grandmother of Blaise, Dara, Gerard, Dermot, Laura, Julie, Emma, Nicole, Casey, Dylan, Orán, Ellie and Catháir and great grandmother of Logan, Bevin, Mya, Mary, Fíonn, Rosie and Roddy.
Also a much loved sister in law, aunt and friend.
Thank you to everyone for the Mass and Sympathy cards, telephone calls, and online messages, also to all those who called to the wake and attended Violet’s funeral.
A special word of thanks to the ambulance and South West Acute Hospital medical staff who attended to our mother in her final moments.
We offer our sincere gratitude to Father Sean Mulligan for his support and for celebrating Violet’s beautiful Requiem Mass and to Father Padraig McKenna, Trillick for assisting. A special word of thanks to the Sacristan, Eucharist Ministers and everyone who took part in the Liturgy. Thank you to Louise Coyle and her Pianist for the beautiful music and singing.
We offer sincere thanks to McAtee Funeral Directors for the dignified and respectful way they carried out our mother’s funeral arrangements and to Nettles and Petals for the beautiful flowers.
Also a special thank you to the gravediggers and to the St. Patrick’s Hall ladies for the very welcome refreshments after the funeral.
As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, the sacrifice of the Mass will be offered up for all your intentions.
Violet’s Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated with her late husband Gerard’s 9th Anniversary at 10am on Saturday 11th January in St Lawrence’s Church, Fintona.
