William (Billy) McMechan MCCOMBE

Passed away peacefully on 12th March 2025 after a long period of illness.

Dearly loved husband of Lynne, devoted father to James, Michael, and Anna. Also a cherished father-in-law and a loving grandfather to his seven grandchildren.

A private family committal will take place, followed by a celebration of Billy's life on Friday 21st March at 2pm in Royal Belfast Golf Club.

No flowers please. Donations in lieu, if desired, can be made to Dementia NI, NICVA Building, 61 Duncairn Gardens, Belfast BT15 2GB, or via Billy's MuchLoved tribute page c/o www.johngrayfuneraldirectors.com (Tributes & Donations tab)

Billy will be sadly missed by the wider family circle and by his many friends.

I first met Billy playing for Rainey Endowed School against Campbell College. He amazingly dropped a goal from the half-way line in the mud at Magherafelt and the ball was still rising as it went over. As a country gulpin I should have hated that guy, but he oozed so much class on and off the field, that the more our patches crossed the more my admiration for him grew.
