The death has occurred of:
Aisling Ní Néill
Gerard, Breige, Colleen, Aideen, Gearóid and Micheál wish to express our deepest gratitude to all who sympathised with and supported us in any way during our darling Aisling’s illness and following her passing.
Thank you to all dedicated medical teams who were involved in Aisling’s care, including everyone at Feeny Medical Practice; Claudy District Nursing Team; Roe Pharmacy Dungiven; the Staff of Breast Screening and the North West Cancer Centre Altnagelvin, Marie Curie; Rapid Response, Macmillan Cancer Support and not least the Palliative Care Team and all the Staff at Foyle Hospice whose gentle care and grace will never be forgotten.
To all who welcomed us as we brought Aisling home, your support meant more than we can ever say.
To those who called to the family home, sent messages, cards, paid tribute on social media and to those who sent gifts of food, flowers or made a donation to Foyle Hospice we are incredibly grateful to you all, and humbled by your immense kindness.
We would like to thank Fr McGirr and Fr Forbes for celebrating Aisling’s lovely heartfelt Requiem Mass and for their ministry to Aisling during her illness along with Fr Dan, Fr Roni and Fr Micheál and to Fr Eamon for his spiritual support. Thank you to Aoife and Martin for the beautiful music, to all who prepared the church and Aisling’s grave, to Pauline for the perfect flower arrangements, Margaret our Sacristan, and to HOPE Banagher and Claudy for the guard of honour, and to all who attended and helped in any way with Aisling’s Celebration of Life.
Go raibh maith agaibh to all at St Mary’s GAC Banagher who organised parking and traffic for the wake, to Alison and her team for the lovely refreshments after the funeral, and to Derry GAA for their ongoing support and the use of Owenbeg for the funeral tea.
To our incredible O’Neill & McGrellis families and to our circle of friends, and to all who helped serve teas throughout the wake, we are so blessed to have you all in our lives. Aisling loved you all dearly, as do we, and we could not have survived this journey without you.
Finally thank you to Patrick and Conor McGrellis for the gentle and dignified manner in which they supported us and carried out Aisling’s funeral arrangements.
We have been overwhelmed with the kindness and love we have received over the past few weeks. Please accept this as our grateful acknowledgment of each and everyone who has supported us. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for all your intentions.
Aisling’s Month’s Mind will be celebrated in conjunction with St Mary’s Banagher’s 60th Anniversary Mass on Saturday 12th July at 7pm in St Joseph’s Church Fincairn. (Webcam link below)
