I wish to express my sincere and heartfelt thanks to all who sympathised with me and offered comfort during the recent loss of my husband, Alan. Thanks to all my friends and neighbours for their cards, messages, gifts and donations to Friends of the Cancer Centre, a cause very close to Alan’s heart. Special thanks are extended to Delma, Irene, my sister-in-law Kate and niece Sydel for their unwavering support and for helping me through the hardest days and weeks. Sincere thanks also to my brothers-in-law, Roy and Willie and sister-in-law Jennifer, for their kindness and support.

I would like to express my sincere appreciation to the staff of Ward C5, Antrim Area Hospital, the Cancer Unit at the City Hospital and all at Broughshane Medical Practice for the care and attention shown to Alan.

Grateful thanks must be given to Rev. Alistair Bates for conducting the funeral service and for his pastoral care and support and indeed to all at Wellington Presbyterian Church. Alan gained great peace from your compassion and guidance. I would also like to offer my thanks to Beima Strankebiciute (7 Blooms) for her beautiful floral arrangement.

Finally, thank you to David Robinson and his team whose caring and professional manner ensured the funeral arrangements were carried out just as Alan would have wished.

I trust this acknowledgement will be accepted by all as a token of my sincere thanks and appreciation.
