The death has occurred of:
Andrew Maguire
The family of the late Andy Maguire wish to express their sincere thanks to all those who sympathised with them on their recent sad bereavement.
Andy was a friend to many, a devoted husband to Margaret (Peggy) and a much-loved Father, Father-in-law, Grandfather, Brother, Brother- in- law, Uncle and Cousin.
We are deeply thankful to all those who attended the wake, reposal and funeral, including those who travelled long distances to be with us and to everyone who sent Mass and sympathy cards, left messages of condolence, flowers and donations in lieu.
A special note of thanks to family friends and relations who cooked dishes and helped out in any way at the wake and those relatives and family friends who spent time with Peggy, over the funeral weekend, while she was hospitalised.
Our sincere gratitude to the staff within Ward 2 SWAH for facilitating a short visit by Peggy, to the family home, to receive and pay respects to Andy.
Our sincere thanks and appreciation go to all the healthcare professionals who cared for Andy, including the Doctors, nurses and the staff of Florencecourt health centre, the staff of the South West Acute Hospital and the District Nursing Team.
In particular, we wish to acknowledge the dedicated home carers who went above and beyond in Andy’s care. We are so grateful for your kindness, assistance and good humour, which meant so much to him over the past while.
We also thank Father McMorrow for a meaningful Funeral Mass. His home visits and the spiritual support he provided to Andy were a great comfort to him and deeply appreciated by us all, especially his wife Peggy.
A special word of thanks to all the relatives, friends and neighbours who visited the family home and offered support and kindness to Andy during his illness.
Our sincere thanks also to Tom, Bernard and Niall from McNulty Funeral Directors for their thoughtful guidance, compassion and professionalism throughout.
A special word of appreciation to the musicians and singers for the beautiful music during the mass and a sincere thank-you to all those who assisted Father McMorrow and the undertakers in anyway with the reposal, funeral mass and burial.
Thanks to Lilly Anne’s for providing the welcome food and drinks in the community hall after the Funeral Mass. Also, thanks Dolores, Caroline and Kitty for the refreshments they provided and so diligently shared among the visitors during the wake.
Sincere gratitude to the members of Kinawley GAC, of which Andy was a longstanding member, who sympathised with the family and provided a guard of honour at the funeral. Thank you also to Belnaleck GAC for its kind message of condolence and to all gaels from Fermanagh and beyond who offered sympathy to the family.
As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a gesture of our family’s deepest gratitude. Your kindness will be remembered at the month's memory mass 11.30am, 8th February, St Nailes Church, Kinawley.
