In the name of Anna, we her children, Nicola, Nigel, Vivian, Martin and Collette, and our extended family wish to express our sincere appreciation and heartfelt thanks to all those who sympathised, prayed for and supported us through our recent sad bereavement.
Thank you to everyone who called to visit us at Mum’s wake and to those who sent Mass and Sympathy cards, messages, flowers, lined the funeral route, joined us in person or online for Mum’s Requiem Mass, and to those who attended the burial. Many thanks also to those who sent and provided food, and who prepared and served the refreshments at Mum’s house during the wake.
We have taken great comfort from you all and will cherish all the stories and memories shared during these days.
A special thank you to Fr. Michael O’Dwyer for visiting and praying with and for Mum throughout his time as Parish Priest in Ballygawley. Your support, friendship and spiritual guidance has been immeasurable.
Thank you to you also for leading the concelebrated Requiem Mass, assisted by Fr. Leo Traynor, Fr. Kevin McGuckien and Canon McGahan. The presence of you all and your connection with Mum and our family is so special and for this we are truly grateful.
We convey our appreciation to everyone who took part in the liturgy. We thank especially our instrumentalists Damian Cullen and Bronagh Broderick, our vocalists The McBennett Sisters Emma and Niamh, and Orla, who provided the beautiful, reflective and uplifting ceremony music. We will never forget it, the Mass truly was a celebration of Mum’s wonderful life.
Many thanks to the pupils, parents, and the past and present staff of St. Brigid’s Primary School, Altamuskin, and St. Conor’s Primary and Nursery School, Omagh, for the Guard of Honour outside The Church of the Immaculate Conception for Mum’s funeral.
Thank you to Fr. Peter Reilly for spending time with us at home on the morning of Mum’s funeral, and for your beautiful prayers and African blessing.
A sincere thank you to E. Quinn and Sons Funeral Directors for the dignified and professional manner in which the funeral, floral and burial arrangements were carried out.
Our thanks to the entire staff at Quinn’s Corner for hosting the beautiful meal after the burial.
Paudge your time and caring nature throughout has been a great comfort to us all, thank you.
We send our sincere thanks and deep appreciation to all the medical and caring professionals with whom Mum came into contact.
We thank all those who supported our family in caring for Mum at home, especially Teresa Murphy and the staff of EnableCare.
We thank the management and entire staff of Copperfields Nursing Home, Dr. Potter and the staff of Errigal Medical Centre, and the staff of O’Neill’s Pharmacy.
We are deeply indebted to you all for your support, patience, care, kindness and assistance.
As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgment as a gesture of our family’s deepest gratitude.
Mum is loved and missed every day.
May her gentle, generous and loving soul be granted eternal rest.
Mum’s month memory Mass will be celebrated in The Church of the Immaculate Conception, Ballygawley, on Friday 6th June at 7.00pm.
