The death has occurred of:
Anne B. Murphy (née Devlin)
In Loving Memory of Anne B. Murphy R.I.P (née Devlin) Brocagh, Co. Tyrone (formerly Moortown).
Anne’s daughters Orla, Emer, Aileen and Duibhin; her son-in-law Colin; her cherished grandchildren Olan, Eibhlin, Matthew, Ella, Fiadh, Oisín and Louie; her sisters Eithne and Ita; brothers-in-law Paul and Des; nephew Finbar (Anita) and niece Jeanine, wish to express our heartfelt thanks to all who supported us during our recent bereavement.
We are deeply grateful to everyone who attended the wake and funeral, and to those who sent Mass cards, messages, flowers, or supported us in any way. To our wonderful neighbours and close friends, and to those who travelled from afar — Canada, England, Dubai, Spain and Scotland — thank you. We extend our sincere thanks to the Brocagh community who helped prepare the house, brought food, made tea and refreshments, and to Brocagh Emmetts GFC who assisted with parking and lighting. We will be forever indebted for all your kindness, generosity and presence, which brought us great comfort in our time of need and will never be forgotten.
A special word of thanks to Canon Benny Fee for his spiritual guidance and support, and for celebrating the Requiem Mass alongside Fr McCallion. Our sincere thanks also to the McBennett Sisters and Patrick Slevin for the beautiful music which enriched the Mass.
We extend our gratitude to Naomh Bríd Camogie Club, Brocagh, and to the staff of Primate Dixon Primary School and Dean Maguirc College for the respectful guard of honour outside the chapel. Thank you to the sacristan and all who participated in making Mummy’s Funeral Mass so meaningful and personal.
Our thanks to Gary Harte for preparing Anne’s final resting place; to Mark Donnelly for assistance with the marquee; and to Marty Kelly for the use of catering equipment and resources. We are very grateful to Kelly-Anne and Sean Corr (Kitch) for the lovely food and refreshments provided after the funeral.
Finally, to Conan and Pat from Lavery’s Funeral Directors, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your help, guidance and reassurance — for the timely manner in which Anne was returned home to us, and for the dignified and professional way in which the funeral arrangements were carried out.
As it is impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as an expression of our deepest gratitude.
Anne is loved, remembered and missed every day.
Anne’s Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated in St Brigid’s Chapel, Brocagh, on Saturday 27th December at 11.00am. The Mass can also be viewed on the parish webcam via the link below.
