The death has occurred of:
Anne McConville (née Dobbin)
We, the sons, daughters and wider family circle of the late Anne McConville wish to extend our sincere thanks and heartfelt appreciation to all who sympathised with us during our recent loss. Anne was a much loved mother, motherin-law, grandmother, great grandmother, sisterin-law, aunt and friend. We are deeply touched by the care and kindness of those who called to our homes and visited the wake to offer their condolences, many travelling long distances to be with us. We extend our warmest thanks also to all who brought or sent Mass and sympathy cards, conveyed kind messages, brought food throughout the wake, or offered spiritual and practical help. Thanks also to all those who attended Mum’s Requiem Mass, many also travelling long distances to be with us. Your presence and thoughtfulness brought us great comfort and strength over this difficult time. Our sincere special thanks to Fr Thomas McGlynn PP and Fr Aidan McAleenan PP for the beautiful Requiem Mass and celebration of our Mum’s life. Your homily and words captured the essence of Mum so beautifully, and gave us great comfort. Thank you to all those who participated in the Mass, to those who read, brought gifts, those who sang so beautifully and those who provided musical accompaniment. Your collective contribution enhanced and personalised Mum’s Requiem Mass. Thanks also to the Sacristan, the Eucharistic Ministers and all those who prepared the Church for the Mass. We cannot express enough our appreciation and thanks to the staff of Lisnaree and Downshire Units of Bannview Care Home, Banbridge, where Mum resided over the past two years. The kindness, compassionate care, dignity and respect provided to Mum from the point of her admission was exemplary. You became part of our wider family, and we yours. We thank you for the care and support you provided to us as a family, especially during Mum’s final weeks. For your care and kindness, we will be eternally grateful. Mum was blessed to have been part of many friendship groups and had many lifelong friends. We thank you all for your love and support, especially over Mum’s period in Bannview, for your regular visits and support to us. We were blessed to have also had the love and support of our wider family circle. We thank you for all your support to Mum, especially whilst in Bannview, that enabled her to remain connected to the wider family circle. This meant so much to her and to us. We thank all of the professionals involved in Mum’s care for their attention and inputs, especially over the past two years. We thank Dr Dillon and the doctors from the Group Surgery Banbridge, Community Nursing Team, the Memory Team, Community Physiotherapy, Community OT, Community Dietetics, Acute Care at Home Team and the domiciliary care workers who supported Mum whilst living at home. We extend a special word of thanks and gratitude to Charles Digney & Son Funeral Directors, especially James, for the professional, courteous, respectful manner in which our family was supported and guided through the funeral arrangements. We are also deeply grateful to those who prepared Mum’s final resting place with care. We thank all who carried Mum’s coffin to her final resting place, in particular her grandsons, sons-in-law and nephews. We extend thanks to the Belmont Hotel for providing the funeral refreshments and for their hospitality. As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, we trust that this acknowledgement will be accepted by all as a token of our sincere and heartfelt appreciation at this difficult time. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass has been offered for your intentions. (Banbridge, Carryduff, Belfast, Loughbrickland and Ballynahinch).
