Annie Josephine (Josie) Daly
Died 21st September 2025
We, the family of the late Josie Daly (R.I.P.), wish to extend our heartfelt thanks and sincere gratitude to all who sympathised with us following the loss of our much-loved mother, mother-in-law, granny, great granny, sister, sister-in-law, aunt and friend.
We have been deeply touched and overwhelmed by the love, kindness and support shown by family, friends, neighbours, work colleagues and the wider community. Your support throughout this difficult time has brought us great comfort and strength as we grieve together as a family.
We wish to thank everyone who attended the wake, many of whom travelled long distances to offer their condolences. We are grateful to all who sent Mass cards, sympathy cards, telephoned, messaged, sent flowers, brought food, attended the funeral, or joined us online.
Our heartfelt thanks go to all those who worked quietly behind the scenes, making tea, helping with parking arrangements, and to Greencastle Plant Hire for kindly providing the lighting and to Broughderg Community Centre for providing the chairs.
We are forever grateful to Fr James Devine for his visits and pastoral care to mummy, for his support to our family, and for celebrating such a beautiful Requiem Mass. Thank you also to Fr Hughes, Fr Curry and Fr Madden for calling to our home and offering their spiritual guidance.
Sincere thanks to Ciara Fox and Plunkett McGartland for the beautiful music, and to Josie’s grandchildren Jolene, Briege and Claire for their uplifting music and singing during the Mass. Thank you to the readers, gift bearers, Eucharistic ministers and to Ann, the sacristan. We are also truly grateful to all who prepared mummy’s final resting place with such care.
A special word of thanks to Kieran Kirk Undertakers, Noreen and Michael O’Kane for their professionalism, compassion and guidance throughout this difficult time. We also thank Devlin Media for live streaming Mummy’s mass. Thank you to Raymond, Claire and all the staff at The Mill Wheel for providing refreshments during the wake and after the burial.
Finally, we extend our sincere appreciation to Dr Hutton, the District Nurses and the staff at Loy Medical Centre and Allens Chemist in Cookstown for their kindness and care shown to mummy.
It is impossible to thank everyone individually, but please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our deepest appreciation and gratitude to all who supported our family in any way.
Mummy is loved and missed every day. May her gentle, kind and generous soul be granted peace and eternal rest among the Saints in Heaven.
Josie’s Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated on Sunday 19th October at 11:30am in Our Lady of the Wayside, Broughderg.
