The death has occurred of:
Annie Nugent (née McElvaney)
We, the family of Annie Nugent of 49 Coole Road, wish to express our heartfelt thanks and sincere appreciation to all those who sympathised with us during our recent bereavement.
We are deeply grateful to everyone who attended the wake and funeral, and to those who sent Mass cards, messages of sympathy, and offered support in so many thoughtful ways. A special word of thanks to our many friends, extended family and neighbours; your presence, kind words, and gestures of support were a great comfort to us and reflected the loving community that surrounded Annie throughout her life.
We extend our sincere thanks to Canon Benny Fee for celebrating the funeral mass, and to both Canon Fee and Father John McCallion for their attentive pastoral care during Annie’s time in Ashbrook Care Home. We are forever thankful to Dympna and all the staff at Ashbrook Care Home for the kindness and compassionate care shown to Annie. Our thanks also go to Dr Mullan and Dr Donnelly of Parkview Surgery, and to the Acute Care at Home team for their support. We further wish to thank Margaret Taggart, sacristan, Gary Harte, gravedigger, and Siobhan Robinson for the beautiful music.
Our thanks to Nicola Rae of Roost & Roux and Clonoe Community Centre for kindly providing the delicious food and refreshments following the Funeral Mass.
Finally, we are grateful to Patsy, Edel & Brendan of Taggart Funeral Services for the dignified, supportive, and professional manner in which they carried out Annie’s wake and funeral.
As it is not possible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a heartfelt expression of our deepest gratitude. May Annie’s kind and gentle soul rest in eternal peace.
Annie’s Month’s Mind Mass will be held in St Patrick’s Church, Clonoe, on Tuesday 21st April 2026 at 7:30pm.
