The death has occurred of:
Annie O'KANE
Acknowledgement and Month’s Mind Notice
Michael and the family of our much-loved Annie would like to express our deepest and most heartfelt thanks to everyone who supported us during the loss of our precious wife, mammy, granny and great-granny.
The kindness shown to us over the past weeks has been overwhelming and a great comfort in our sadness. Thank you to all who called to the house, attended the wake and funeral, sent Mass cards, sympathy cards and messages, brought food, travelled long distances, or helped us in any way. Your presence, prayers and support have meant more to us than words can say.
We are sincerely grateful to the doctors, nurses and staff at Scroggy Road Health Centre, the paramedics and medical teams at Altnagelvin Hospital, the Specialist Palliative Care Team from Foyle Hospice, and the Marie Curie nurses for the compassion, dignity and care they showed Annie and our family.
A very special thank you to Chloe for the love, care and gentleness she showed to Granny, it will never be forgotten.
We are deeply thankful to Monsignor McCanny for his spiritual guidance and friendship over many years and for celebrating such a beautiful and meaningful Requiem Mass. Thank you to Jolene for the lovely music, to Jimmy O’Hara for preparing the chapel, to Currans Bakery for the refreshments after the funeral, and to Willie O’Brien for the kindness, professionalism and respect shown to Annie and to our family throughout.
As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a small token of our sincere appreciation and gratitude.
Annie was the heart of our family and will be forever loved and deeply missed.
Sacred Heart of Jesus, have mercy on her soul.
Annie’s Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated on Saturday 28th February at 6pm in St Finlough’s Chapel, Ballykelly
